老磨湾是张家界国家森林公园各条游道的起始点，从这里可以爬腰子寨，登黄石寨，上朝天观，下金鞭溪，还可骑者善堕黄石寨索道站，广场地面由水泥空心砖和水泥地组合而成。此算曾经是张家界林场的场部所在地，现在是入公园的第一处游人集散地。

Laomo Bay plays a starting role of various corridors in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, through which the Yaozi Village, Huangshi Village, Golden Whip Stream and the cableway station of Huangshi Village would be reached. The square, constituted with concrete hollow bricks and ground, is now the first place for tourists after entering into the park.
