位于张家界国家森林公园东部，黄石寨与腰子寨之间。金鞭溪长约5.5km，上下游落差150M。它西汇琵琶溪，东入索溪，是一条曲折幽深的峡谷。两岸峰高林密，岭谷之间高差350-500M，谷底宽30-80M。沿溪而行，但见奇峰兀立，怪石嶙峋，翠峰簇拥，水清谷幽，鸟语花香，令人神悠气爽，乐不知疲。沿途著名景点有金鞭岩、紫草潭、千里相会、跳鱼潭等。

Located between the Huangshi Village and Yaozi Village on the east of the Zhangjiajie Forest Park, Golden whip Stream runs 5.5km together with the Pipa Stream in the west into Suoxi Stream in the east. It is a zigzagging deep valley with steep peaks and thick woods on each bank. There is an average vertical distance of 350-500m between the peak and the valley bottom, and the valley bottom measures 30-80m wide. Wandering along the meandering crystal-clear stream, you can see grotesque peaks and weird stones scattered everywhere, birds singing and various kinds of flowers booming in the wild, all these fantastic sights are inspiring and sure to contribute to an unforgettable memory of your fantastic experience.
