在金鞭溪与索溪峪的交界处，有一块面积20多公顷的盆地，慈姑县志中称此处为止马塌，因有矿洞溪、金鞭溪和龙尾溪3条溪流分别从西、北、南3个山谷流出，在此汇入索溪，形成4条溪水环绕止马塌，因此被 称为“水绕四门”。盆地现已辟为游人集散地。广场西侧，金鞭溪入口处立有江泽民1995年题写的“张家界”石碑。

At the juncture of Golden Whip Stream and Suoxiyu, there is a basin over 20 hectares, whics is called Zhimata according to the country annals of Cigu. These brooks of Mining Cave Stream, Golden Whip Stream, and Dragon Tail Stream, flowing respectively from the three-direction valleys of west, north and south, are conflowed into Suoxiyu here and then distributed into four rivulets. Thus it got the name of "Shuiraosimen ". The basin has become a distrebuted center for travelers. In the west side of the square where is the entrance to the Golden Whip Stream area, stands a stone monument with three Chinese calligraphy letters “张家界”(Zhangjiajie) inscribed by Jiang Zemin, the formal chairman of China, in 1995.
