老磨湾草坪位于去黄石寨索道下站起点处，面积约800m2的开阔平地上种满了天鹅绒草，中间有石板小道供人穿行。草坪东南一线种有几十株梅树，各种零星野花散落在草坪中，看起来就像是一张碎花地毯。成群结队的和平鸽不时在草坪上歇息觅食，草坪的另一侧竖有“不上黄石寨 ，枉到张家界”的巨幅广告牌。经常有游人在草坪上休息游乐，是一算游人休憩地。

Laomo Bay Lawn locates at the departuer point of cableway to Huangshi Village. On the spacious flat about 800m2, it is full of velvet grass, having small stone paths provided for visitors walk through. There are many plums to the southeast of the lawn, various wild flowers spread in the lawn, like a flower carpet. From time to time, the peaceful pigeons stop for a rest to look for food on the lawn. Another side of it, there has a huge advertisement“Not up Huangshi Village, waste the visit to Zhangjiajie”. Usually it's a place for visitors to take a rest.
